I’ve just munched a nice Mee Goreng noodle dish from Chi Noodle and Wine Bar, which was absolutely lovely. I was trying out their takeaway service for the first time (a few beers last night require carbohydrates in large quantity!).
Whilst I was waiting for my food to be prepared (it only took about 5 minutes), I got chatting to the staff and it seems that I’ve recently been rumbled – They worked out who I was through my colleagues who like their Hoegarden. That or the Katsu curries! Another customer mentioned this site when complaining it was hard to find out their telephone number (see below, and the original – updated – article, as I’ve put these details up). They have no website of their own, which is a shame. Still, I got a free drink out of it, so feel free to mention this site if you visit!
There’s a big, and growing, fan base of people out there for Chi, from all around the city. Even after Wagamama opened up nearby, the place is still packed between 12.30pm and 2pm. Indeed, if anything it’s getting busier!
So, if you’re in the area, do try out the takeaway service. 20% off puts most of their dishes safely in the same league as a hot takeaway lunch from many sandwich places.

cheers for this post – i was looking for their phone number to order takeaway, am now going to go and get a nice mee goreng and and some spring rolls – perfect hangover fodder!
