Great news for Apple-fans: Apple are coming to Glasgow, and opening a branch on Buchanan street.
I’d mentioned this last year when the rumours first surfaced. Whilst Scotsys already offer Apple products and services, it’s out in the West end (on Great Western Road), and nothing particularly special. An Apple store, however, is a fun shopping experience.
Doubly good is it’s replacing “The Pier”, a shop I always find a bit weird. Too much lacquer and fruity candles for my liking.
Best of all, I’ll soon have a refuse during shopping excursions, plus a fail-safe fallback to take my various Macs if ever they need a bit of Apple TLC (so far, that’s only been necessary once).

Hopefully this will show Scotsys the door, as they seem to be making no attempt at improving things as they stand today (in regards customer service and repairs) in, what would be, a vain attempt at batteling off Apple who’ll sell MacBooks by the bus-load on Bath Street (?).
Manicly waving Scotsys in to the distance — but not before they give me back my Mac which they’ve had for 3 months
