[...] It’s very easy to criticise, much harder to compliment. Certainly when we’ve felt somewhat under siege at times with incompetent companies doing work in our house and leaving us high and dry (here), or going to restaurants and leaving nonplussed about the experience (here and here), letting off some steam on this website is a useful exercise.

[...] The only downer in it all is my leg is still hurting. I went for a run this morning, but I’m still having trouble despite a two week hiatus. Bit worried the shoes I have may be to blame, or my posture, or the (slight) camber on the road in Pollok park. So I’ve decided I’m to take it easy and not push matters at all. Back to basics. That said, the thin ice on the road was a novelty, and I’m not sure I’m so excited about the fact that the winter is only really just coming upon us… [...]

[...] Frankly, I’m pissed off by the machine that is Orange I’m minded to switch operators just for the hell of it. That or advise where they can place the contract for optimal customer feedback. I like the 2-for-1 ticket offers at the Cinema, but the rest of the experience has been atrocious of late. Much like much of the rest of my ‘customer’ experience of late with wood fitters (we’re still waiting for them to switch their bloody fax machine off and answer the phone), kitchen installations, and dealing with a bank I’d previously had a lot of time for managing to fsck my business account application up in ways that defy belief.

Oooh, Rich, we are off to Prague in the morning to (slightly belatedly) celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary - and our "15 years together" anniversary! You know what that means don't you? It means we have known each other for over 15 years now!! Crikey!

I am looking forward to exploring Prague, we will also be catching up with friends of the family so will have "insider info" as it were. We'll let you know how we get on ;)

As for the running, shin splints are very common. There is info on Runners World about what to do/resting up etc., take it easy. It's one of those injuries that can lead to more long-term problems if not addressed at the time.

Hope to see you soon,

Love S&D xx
