Much of what you've written about goes over my head - I'm the world's least techie person. However we've got a G5 silver tower with 1.25 of Ram, a Macbook Pro laptop and an intel mac mini. All networked and all absolutely wonderful. I've been on a mac for nearly 20 years and cannot imagine life without one. I've written several books using ichat with friends overseas and at long distances. It makes living in the Scottish Borders possible.
