Just over a week after I was notified of shipment, my iMac has apparantly arrived back at home in Glasgow.

Sadly, I’m currently in London, so a long way away, and a good seven hours away from unpacking it. Suffice to say, I’ll be writing up the whole experience sometime tomorrow. Possibly with pictures too, just because I’m really sad like that.

Of course, now the worries set in. Early adopters of new platforms can find themselves with nasty problems and issues, and battling away with a support department that possibly hasn’t even seen the system type in question yet. In my experience, Apple are anything but that, and part of the reason for the delay from US to UK shipment is no doubt their bringing support staff up to speed on this exciting new platform.
