It’s a bit scary, but I’ve just had to buy a load more disk space, and a load more bandwidth to ensure leyton.org doesn’t overrun on capacity at xcalibre. They’re nice folk, but my kind words don’t stop them sending me terse reminders that I’ve overstepped my account limits.
Since dropping in statcounter, it seems I get on average around 300 unique visitors each day (sometimes twice that), most of which visit through google searches for various oddities. A small, but growing band of regular visitors too. That works out at over 4,000 unique visitors since I started counting earlier this month, and almost 1Gb of bandwidth usage.
Some of the searches are for odd phrases that only crop up by sheer chance on the category and monthly index pages, so I’m considering removing those (or at least putting entries in robots.txt). I’m also working more on building out the real content on this website, rather than just the odd post like this with a short link.
None the less, it’s very exciting to see where in the world people are visiting from. So I’d just like to say thanks to the readers: One of the original purposes I had in mind for the website was to “give something back” for all the help I’ve received on web searches myself, so if I’ve helped in some way it’s all been worth it.
