As is probably apparant to anybody who visits this website, things have changed quite a bit in the last few days. The main reason is that I have changed the underlying software which manages the content from Movable Type to Wordpress.
Now that the technical change is complete, I’m playing about with the themes that are now possible. I’d like something that is crisp and clean, has a bit of an “oooh” factor, but also doesn’t get in the way of the actual content (assuming that’s what people are visiting for).
There are some gorgeous themes that resulted from the Wordpress theme competition that recently concluded.
I’ve started off experimenting with some of the entries that won. Whilst the actual process of changing themes is very easy, I’ve already made a number of tweaks to enable the main landing page to work as it does. Sometimes a new theme makes assumptions about certain things that don’t work with the way I’d configured things.
As ever, I’m happy to here comments and feedback from readers (as I already have). And if you fancy a look about the themes, and think you’ve found one that’d look good here, please let me know!
