It didn’t say this on the brochure. My brochure of Glasgow, Scotland read “Lots of snow in the Winter, lots of drizzle much of the rest of the year. Sky has a permanently grey tint. Don’t pack sun-screen”.
So I’m rather surprised to report that not only was there very little snow this winter (there was nary a snowball to be seen, much lest felt on the back of the neck), but today it reached 30C (BBC’s forecast no-less) - with not a cloud in sight all day - and something similar is forecast for tomorrow.
Thankfully, the office where I started work today is nicely air-conditioned, but it’s very much a surprise to me - as well as the rest of the city I suspect - to find it’s one of the hottest places in the country right now.
Marvellous.
