We’re pleased to be able to say that we’ve finally found a house! We’ve taken a while to actually let friends know as it’s a tincy bit more complicated than simply having walked into an estate agent, viewed a house, put in offers and had it accepted (more on the detail in due course). However, we’re very happy to say we’ve got - officially - a lovely house in a great spot in Glasgow, a few minutes walk from Shawlands, Pollock Park, with almost everything we were after, including a lovely garden and plenty of space inside and out.
Of course, it’s not without it’s complications, but each hurdle is being dealt with one at a time. The last one should - hopefully - be resolved on Friday when a timber specialist visits to view some marks in the main roof timbers which the surveyor flagged up as a potentially active problem. Annoying because when a closer look by even myself and a few others (non-experts and experts alike) said it looks simply like a little staining following a slipped tile. Still, who ever heard of a surveyor putting their neck on the line…
Anyway, all this - combined with some ongoing job related things, we’re both quite tired - which is me sort of half-mumbling an apology for not having posted much more about all this before now. I’ve a few posts in the works, which will appear in due course…
