On my personal weblog, I’ve made a bit of an attempt to explain, in laymans terms, what a Systems Administrator does.
It’s not intended as anything more than the sort of thing you can perhaps pass to a relative or friend who professes little or no knowledge or interest in computers, and say “that’s what I do”. It’s far from perfect, as it’s much more difficult to do than you might think: I’d suggest it’s also perhaps worth having a go at! Post any comments or suggestions to the original article!
