Thanks to my friend Adam, I was introduced to a rather good Icelandic band by the name of Sigur Rós. It’s more than just Björk up there you see. Instrumental, atmospheric, interesting, and very different.

I’m sure most people in the UK will recognise the track Hoppípolla, from their latest album “Takk”, as some of the music used in the excellent BBC documentary Planet Earth, and - if you’re like me you’ll enjoy recognising the bands efforts by legitimately buying the music you discover and enjoy listening to.

But do, if your bandwidth will allow it (8Mb, baby!) check out the video: I’d be very surprised if you’re not moved in some way. A rare treat.
