Woz on Radio 4’s MidWeek

Steve Wozniak is just appearing on Radio 4’s MidWeek, promoting his new book iWoz.

Update. I had been meaning to write a bit more, post-interview, but I never quite got around to it. From recollection it wasn’t the best (Woz was late, so didn’t contribute to the other discussions as much as I’d hoped, and seemed to overwhelm the rest of the panel and interviewer a bit).

However, I’m pleased to say that thanks to my friend Steve (no, not Woz!), I’m now the proud owner of a signed copy of the book, complete with a “To Richard, Glad to hear that you prefer Apple Macs, Woz“. Steve works at Oxford University, and managed to hear Woz talk and meet him afterwards, and said:

He is an engaging man - absolutely passionate about computers - and absolutely unpretentious. For a recluse, my word he can talk!

So, I’m looking forward to reading the copy of book sent by Steve. Marvellous!

I thought you might be interested in hearing about my debut documentary on Silicon Valley, called In Search of the Valley. It features Woz and many other Apple / Silicon Valley legends.
