Sod Goa, backpacking through the Andes, and running about with the antelope, Glasgow’s where it’s at. A “must see for 2006″ in fact, according to Frommer’s Travel Guides.
The Lourve, sorry, er, Burrell Collection is just around the corner from our house (I can just about see it in Pollock Park from our loft window), and I can certainly agree that it’s a great museum.
Glasgow certainly gets a bad reputation in this country (the expressions on various friends faces when explaining we were moving here spoke volumes), so it’s great to hear that it’s received such an excellent write-up.

About time the Dear Green Place got a good write up - though I can not agree with the Burrell (good though it is) as one of Europe’s
best art collections. To my mind, the best thing about Burrell’s collection is the building it’s housed in.
