I’m a freelance IT consultant, specialising in Database systems and Unix infrastructures.

If you’ve a short or long term need for support, I’d be happy to help, no matter where you are in the UK, Europe or the world. I’m based in Glasgow, Scotland, but have successfully worked with companies across the UK.

• Eleven years of experience in environments across a variety of industries, including Finance, telecoms, publishing, gaming and internet organisations.
• Extensive experience with Linux, Solaris, Windows platforms
• Solid knowledge of leading database platforms, including Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase ASE, and MySQL.
• Excellent performance tuning, diagnostics and trouble shooting experience across these platforms
• Proven track record working closely with both developers and business users to deliver the expected results and services to help the business.
• I’ve built various environments on a number of platforms, with a range of budgets, under a variety of constraints. *I work very well in a team, or on my own, to either give you necessary experience, or help out when things are tight.
